Dill - He is a curious guy who is happy. He is seven years old and he stays with his aunt and he does not have a father. He seems very smart.
Calpurnia - She is strict, and she seems unfair to Scout. She seems to like Jem better than Scout the narrator. She is the Finch family's maid. She is Afro-American.
Jem - His real name is Jeremy. He is Scout's older brother. He has something wrong with his arm. He looks after Scout. He is careful and likes to analyze situations. He likes to play football.
Scout - Scout is the narrator. She is a girl, but she is a tom-boy. She is a follower. She follows her older brother and looks up to him. Her real name is Jean Louise.
Atticus - He is the children's father. He is a lawyer. He is a widower. He seems like a hard-worker and he seems wise.

Miss.Caroline interacts with B. Erwell when she walks by him and a cootie crawled out of his hair . This suggests that Miss. Caroline is a person of cleanliness and that the Erwlll family are not a very clean family!!

Miss Caroline is shocked and appauled by Burris Ewell's behaviour and starts to cry.
This suggests that she is confused and naive about the community in Maycomd. She does not know abou the stereotypes of the families and what how people act and what they expect in the town.
The Ewells are uneducated, ill mannered, filthy, and very destructive.
